Just another update for you. Been a while since the last one.
Had an amazing stream two days ago – Jay187_ZA was kind enough to raid with 24 viewers – thank you!
Thanks to Jay187_ZA, mtsnu17, TommyznTTV, Caayro, envoliss, xo_milo, firegiant503, djhazard123, thespookyweasel, finduspan3ake for following. Also for Dreamy_Lunar and omfg_cob, but special mention to the discussions we had, especially around the Artist.
Also, we hit 50 followers, which means I can now grant VIP status! 🎉
Also, I’ve been achievement hunting recently. I was playing an Unknown game while only recording – and I got accused of cheats.
I then posted on one of the accuser’s steam wall a full video of me obliterating their entire team. I’ve now received TWO fake messages on my steam wall which will, of course, be staying as a badge of honour.
Anyways, I’ve got a really special video being cooked up with Zafoes. Stay tuned for that…
Previously today, Jaiden mentioned that my stream looked bright. I thought this was a negative, until he mentioned it actually looked good and he wanted his game to look similar.
Coincidentally, Hiccolas (after my game with LilithOmen, which I just wrote about) then asked for information regarding my visual setup. And we all know I am no gaslighting, gatekeeping girlboss specifically on Thursday afternoons, and so I shall write a blog post and provide you with them.
The Game Itself – ReShade (pt. 1)
I have no NVIDIA filters for my game. Instead, I use ReShade installed via an installer made for DBD by Joolace. You can find the releases here. Close DBD and then run the .exe and install the DBD ReShade Launcher. You should then be able to find it by searching for it on your Windows search bar.
Launch it and click Open. Then, select KL_Undefeated.ini and navigate to your Dead by Daylight folder – C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight\DeadByDaylight – on Steam.
It’ll scream at you because it couldn’t find the game. Press okay and ignore it. Then select the DeadByDaylight-Win64-Shipping.exe and click next (NOT DeadByDaylight.exe)
The rendering API is Direct X 10/11/12. If it isn’t auto-selected, double check you selected the right .exe – if you didn’t, you probably selected DeadByDaylight.exe instead of DeadByDaylight-Win64-Shipping.exe
After that, follow it through and you should be done.
The Game Itself – My Settings (pt. 2)
Only gamma should matter for colours.
OBS Settings & HDR
It’s going to start to get a bit more complicated now.
My computer renders images in HDR. Basically, it’s a fancy new way to improve colour on displays, and it’s only supported on very modern and high-end monitors. Some other monitors support it, but their peak level (max brightness they can reach) is so poor that it’s not ‘real’ HDR.
HDR incurs a small performance hit. Like, 10 FPS on DBD. I turn HDR on because my monitor supports it.
OBS is by default Rec 709. The only difference between sRGB and Rec 709 is a slight disparity in gamma. I chose sRGB because that’s my monitor’s video output and it would translate more of what I actually see to my recording.
Then, on your Game Capture, enter its’ properties and set its RGB10A2 Colour Space to Rec. 2100 (PQ)
No, I do not know why it is not set to sRGB. I don’t know what I’m doing man, I’m just a small streamer. Here’s a side-by-side comparison of sRGB vs Rec 2100 (PQ) in the Game Capture settings.
sRGB is pretty identical to what my game actually looks like. Rec 2100 (PQ) is when I apply the wrong colour space to the game, and is my current output for recording & streaming.
So there you go. That’s my colour settings. Hope it helps,
Today, I played a game on Midwich vs LilithOmen. It was difficult, but I am of course god tier, and therefore I escaped.

[…] […]
I did not escape whatsoever. We got 4ked. Either way, it’d have made great content, but I forgot to turn on recording after it gave me a warning that I had run out of file space! Ugh, what a newbie error. Thanks for the game LilithOmen – I want a rematch.
No reason to be upset though. I noticed after I had died that I hit record max viewers (11, but still a record broken from 7) – thank god I didn’t notice this during the game because OBS doesn’t live update the information about users watching, my social anxiety would’ve hung, drawn and quartered me. Let’s hope I grow out of that as my community does.
But more importantly, I’d like to thank Hiccolas again for being my first non-coerced-into-subbing-via-prime-as-obligated-by-being-my-friend sub – that’s incredibly generous of you.
One of the topics brought up in conversation was that my game looks phenomenal. Well, they didn’t say exactly that, but of course my bespoke adjustments have made my stream look brilliant. Find details about that in an upcoming post.
We hit Twitch Affiliate, guys. In just twelve days. Absolutely crazy. Thanks again to everyone, and especially Soot who might be kind enough to also design some emotes for the channel…
This is an important milestone as it unlocks a shit ton of stuff that’s important for growing a community on Twitch, like channel points, which I will also be setting up in the coming days.
There’s a program called Blood Emporium – it effectively hijacks your mouse to spend bloodpoints for you in Dead by Daylight. You tell it what you want bought with bloodpoints the most and it’ll prioritise it for you.
Blood Emporium
BHVR’s Built In Spender
Slow (but AFKable)
Instant
Cheap
VERY expensive, more than if you were to do it manually
Ignores bad items, prioritises good items (will get even better when profile is refined)
Buys egregiously bad items (rainbow maps, anyone?)
I have made my own profile which follows the following logic:
Event Bloodpoint Offerings > Party Streamers > Cakes & Puddings > Perks > Survivor/Killer consumables sorted by rarity (prioritises event over ultra rare and everything else.)
It’s not refined for specific addons. Like, it’s not going to avoid a certain iridescent addon for another one that’s much better. I’m planning to fine tune it later on, and I’ll make another post on my website if I do so.
Yesterday, R6.Kizzaa joined me for some matches – it was great meeting you and I’d love to play again sometime. Streams since have been relatively uneventful – except for one.
Someone who unfortunately rolled Lery’s as Billy against my team wasn’t too happy in post-game chat. The video is going up soon on my channel at https://youtu.be/dQM6ITIwWJc.
Here’s the conversation that happened after he entered by stream post-match (right click and open image in new tab to view):
I have done my best to censor his name as he didn’t use personal attacks – but it sure makes good content.
I officially started streaming on the 9th June, 2025. I knew, or thought it’d be incredibly slow to grow the channel to affiliate.
Turns out that my friends are actually friends, and that the Dead by Daylight community isn’t nearly as toxic as people might think it is.
I’ve received wonderful support from the people I’ve come across so far in matches, some kind enough to follow me and even interact in chat for a bit. It makes for fun & enjoyable moments when playing a game that I’ve played for far too long.
Despite the people that know me personally (and every single one of them believing I’d be the least likely person to find success streaming – they’re surprised even one person has interacted in chat) I’d like to thank Jaiden, Boaz, Metric, Python, Tarnj, XB3 & of course the Zafoes for joining me in my first few days of playing DBD.
And for those of you that didn’t join me on stream but do know me personally (don’t worry – I didn’t forget you guys – naztallah and wlwillow – thanks <3)
Even if you didn’t follow me, but stuck around to say thanks for the games, gg or whatever – I echo that back to you.
We’re actually relatively close to hitting Affiliate. If I keep up three average viewers per day for three days on stream, and obtain eight more followers, we’ll hit affiliate within a week and a few days of streaming. Crazy.
